The plastic is pretty soft, no sharp edges. I heard her chewing and found the toys all chewd up.

Question by Holly: What are the best chew toys for a puppy?
I go to pet smart and there’s so many dang choices and I have no idea what to get. I give my puppy these little soft rawhide chews that are made just for puppies, and he also has a tug rope, which he loves. But what are the best toys to buy? He’s a puppy so he loves to chew. Any advice?

kongs are excellent. i don’t give them soft rawhide. bully sticks are good rawhide like chews. always supervise the dog when he is chewing rawhide.

Question by Nicholas: What are some good toys to make for my parakeet?
My parakeet is really bored all she does all day is eat and sit on her pirch. What are some safe toys to make for my parakeet.

Millet sprays are great fun for parakeets! Try hanging a stick on the end of a non toxic bit of rope (no longer than 15cm long otherwise it is a choking hazard) and then skewer some fruit and veggies onto the ends of the stick. The parakeet will be greatly intrigued because as he tries to grab the fruit the string will swing away with the fruit on it and he will only get a bit of the fruit each time. Eventually he will finish the whole thing but it is a time consuming occupation for a bird and a fun one too!

Birds also love leather and paper to shred. Hang some leather and twigs and paper on a bit of string, you can even sprinkle some little seeds into it and some will get stuck there. Birds love to forage so this toy is great fun!

I hope this helps! Sorry it wasn’t that much but my birds like to play with stuff like that. Have fun with your parakeet!
